Horsepal Equine Heart Rate Belt

I was a long-time user of the Ariono Orscana blanket sensor up until the point where recently, Ariono suddenly and without warning, shut down all their web servers and removed the Orscana app from the Google and App stores. This was a real slap in the face to all of their clients who had spent hundreds of dollars purchasing multiple sensors for multiple blankets … only to be left with little, non-usable hockey pucks. Clearly, a Very Bad Customer Relationship decision on that company’s part. What’s even worse, however, is this sensor is STILL available online – on Amazon and throughout various tack companies. However, if unsuspecting people purchase the Orscana sensor, they will receive a useless hunk of plastic and metal. Truly criminal not to tell your vendors you are pulling the produce and its support off the selves … really. So … within that context I purchased the next best product – the Horsepal – and have been using it for the past two months. It’s similar to the Orscana and provides similar information. However the interface is somewhat kludgey and does not perform well. Sometimes the setting do not “take,” particularly with the temperature settings and the graphs reflecting the changes in the settings. The software works more like a “Beta” than a real release and needs more work and substantially more debugging before it is truly ready for prime time.

I have been struggling with my heart monitors ever since vmax went out of the market. I came across the Horsepal monitor while trying to figure out how to get the several different polar monitors working. I bought it and it was easy to set up and it works!!!! So happy with it and just ordered a second one.
