How to get a reading from your Horsepal® Sensor

• You must be within 30 feet or 10 meters of the sensor.
• Make sure there is nothing in the way between your device and your sensor (including the horse, stand on the same side as the sensor).
• Your device will be able to upload the information more efficiently the closer you are to the sensor.
• If you find that taking a reading takes longer than 1 minute, make sure that your device is not connected to anything else via Bluetooth – this may slow down the readings.
• If you find that the sensor fails to take a reading, remove the battery from the sensor, clean out any hair or dust from the inside on the sensor, put the battery back in and try again.

In the app, there are several different ways to command a reading from the sensor -
1. On your Dashboard, click ‘Monitor Horses’.
Go to Dashboard >> Horses, find the horse that you want to take a reading of, if you have a sensor already linked to this horse, there should be an icon to the right that says ‘Monitor’ in green. Click this.
2. Go to Menu >> Sensors. All sensors that are in range of your device will pop up. If you have your sensor linked to your horse it should appear in green. Click ‘Monitor Horse’.
• If you have not linked a sensor to your horse, please see How to Link a Sensor
